Electronic
Presentations
FAQ
Q:
Why do I need an interactive electronic presentation?
A:
Of the many computer aided selling tools we create, notebook based
presentations provide the quickest return on investment. Reps can begin
using the tool immediately. The presentation provides a consistently
high-quality presentation for all your reps, regardless of experience.
Reps like the fact that they can make an effective call with little
preparation. Your message is communicated effectively on every call.
Q:
Why should we
have Tech.Sell create our presentation when we can use PowerPoint and save money?
A:
PowerPoint is an excellent tool
yet there are several reasons people choose to have us create their major
presentations.
Interactivity -
an interactive presentation allows the rep to utilize a
"switchboard" of topics. Every call is not the same and the
direction of the call can change. By giving the customer and rep the
ability to view just the pertinent information, your odds of hitting the
mark are much higher. You can also use one presentation for many types of
calls.
Quality -
Tech.Sell has created many acclaimed presentations. Our combination of
sales and marketing experience, technical expertise and graphic
creativity, assure you of a very high quality, impressive presentation to
your largest prospects. Homemade presentations tend to have a 'home made'
look. It's been suggested that some PowerPoint presentations have the look
of an 'electronic ransom note', due to lack of attention to fonts and
colors.
Tinkering
-
After working to create the correct message, you don’t want to have it
modified by all your reps. Tech.Sell creates a freestanding program that
doesn't let your reps, customers, or competitors modify it.
Q: What can be
included in a presentation.
A: Your
electronic presentation can include voice, graphics, text, and even video
to tell your story.
Q: What is the
process of creating an electronic presentation?
A: The process begins with a
brainstorming and education session. We need to fully grasp your objective
in order to capture it in a presentation. Usually this requires sessions
at the start middle and near the end of the project. The content must be
accumulated and put in a logical sequence.
Next, you need
to pull together the information, graphics, charts etc. to build your
presentation. After the materials are collected we create a draft of the
presentation, for your review. We then make any changes or corrections and
provide you with a master CD for production.
Q: If we don't
have photos, can Tech.Sell help?
A: We can aid in
the process of photographing the property. Tech.Sell has digital camera
equipment that can capture stills or video. Usually the quality we can
capture is very acceptable, however if special lighting or artistic
quality is required, we recommend working with a firm that specializes in
industrial photography.
Q: How much will
our presentation cost?
A: Because every presentation is
unique, the actual cost can vary. Factors impacting the cost are, the
number of scenes, amount of interactivity, scanned graphics, music, and
voice over synchronization, etc. As a rule of thumb, a basic presentation
will start around $5,000.00. Think of a presentation in terms of building
blocks. You could start with
a very small, specific module and then build upon that foundation in
future updates. Tech.Sell provides an estimate after the original
brainstorming session is completed and the materials have been
accumulated. This estimate will be revised at the mid-point and when the
final draft is presented. Usually the only variances from the original
estimate result from new ideas or client changes.
Meetings in
person or via phone, and photo sessions are based on a rate of $150.00 per
hour, plus travel expenses. The creation, planning time and actual
production of the multimedia piece are quoted by the complexity of the
project.
Q: How will we
be charged for our presentation?
A: You will be billed for
consulting time as it occurs on a monthly statement. The presentation
itself is billed as follows:
-
20% of estimate
with acceptance.
-
40% of estimate
when first draft is submitted.
-
30% of the estimate when the final
draft is submitted.
The balance,
including any adjustments will be due upon completion.
During the development process, your presentation will open with a screen
indicating that it is a draft and is property of Tech.Sell. Upon
final payment, this screen will be removed.
Tech.Sell terms
are Net 10, payable in U.S. dollars.
Q: What about
revisions?
A: Once your
presentation is complete revisions are a simple process. Additional scenes
can be added and a new master made. During the creation process, Tech.Sell
will make minor changes at no additional charge. Major changes will be
reflected in a revised estimate. Following the submission of the final
draft, typographical errors or omissions, will be corrected free of
charge. Major changes will be reflected in the final billing.
Q: What form
will I get my presentation in?
A: Your
presentation can come on CD-ROM or floppy disks. Usually the size of the
presentation makes a CD a better choice. Typically a presentation will
contain 20 -30 megabytes of information. You will receive 5 copies of your
presentation upon final approval.
Q: Can we
mass-produce our presentation to send to prospective customers?
A: Yes, your
presentation can be reproduced for mailings to current or prospective
customers. Tech.Sell provides duplicating services for both disks and
CD-ROM's. Please call for more information.
Q: Who holds the
copyright on my presentation?
A: Your presentation contains
unique materials specific to your company. Your logos, photos of your
facility, specific slogans, etc - these are your property. Tech.Sell will
not use them in any form without your permission. The overall program
remains the property of Tech.Sell. Graphic concepts, unique sales and
marketing concepts that we create may be used with other non-competing
customers.
